McCormick's Creek State Park
McCormick's Creek has soul - it's Indiana's first state park for a reason. That limestone canyon carved by the creek is geology you can touch, climb, and explore. The Wolf Cave trail is just challenging enough to feel like an accomplishment. And that swimming pool? It's fed by the creek, ice-cold even in July, and boys cannonball off those rocks like they own the place. The campground loops are well-spaced, fires are easy to manage, and the naturalist programs are actually good. This is classic Indiana outdoors - nothing fancy, just solid camping that reminds you why we do this. It's history, nature, and adventure rolled into one affordable weekend.
