Detailed Information

Troopmaster

The troopmaster is the primary adult leader responsible for the overall program, weekly meetings, and mentoring boys. He works directly with patrol leaders to plan activities, coordinate training, and ensure advancement progress. The troopmaster sets the vision and culture for the troop.

Troop Committee

The troop committee handles the business side: finances, fundraising, family communication, registration, equipment, and long-range planning. Committee members don't run weekly meetings but support the troopmaster behind the scenes. Committee meets monthly.

How to Get Involved

We always need help! Volunteer opportunities include: helping with meetings, leading skill stations, organizing campouts, managing finances, coordinating service projects, and more. No outdoor expertise required—just a willingness to invest in boys. Contact the troopmaster to learn how you can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an outdoor expert to volunteer?

Not at all! We provide training and mentorship. Many of our best leaders started with zero camping experience. If you're willing to learn alongside the boys, you're qualified.

What's the time commitment for leaders?

That depends on the role. Troopmaster and assistants commit to weekly meetings. Committee members may only attend monthly meetings. One-time volunteers help with specific events. Choose a level that fits your schedule.
